Modus 1.06

Modus

Hi ,

Modus aims to revolutionise the way we manage knowledge by creating a comprehensive platform that simplifies the entire Knowledge Lifecycle - from exploring to sharing. This vision recognises that while dealing with knowledge is a cycle, our current approach is often disconnected, involving a lot of jumping between different tools.

With that being said, we are extremely excited to announce the release of Modules! Modules are the first major feature representing the ‘organising’ aspect The Knowledge Lifecycle. Think of Modules as your personal thinking areas in Modus. Here, you can gather as many notes as you like, sorting them into different topics or subjects. It's a fantastic way to keep your thoughts organised and focused.

Modules are all about diving deep into the topics you're passionate about. You can set up various modules for different subjects, and together, these modules become your personal library of knowledge.

Module Library

What's special about Modus is that your notes aren't stuck in one place. Every note you make is part of the big Note Library . When you're exploring a topic inside a module, you can bring in notes from the Note Library that fit the theme. Or, you can create new notes right there in the module, and they'll automatically join your library.

Adding a note into existing modules

A cool thing in Modus is that a single note can belong to many modules at once. For instance, a note about 'Sam Altman' could sit in both 'History of Artificial Intelligence' and 'Startups' modules. It's a bit like how our minds work, where one idea or piece of knowledge can link to many different areas.

When you pick a note from the Note Library, the note's Info section shows you which modules it's a part of. If you tap on a module's name, Modus will open it right up. This makes it easy to remember why you added the note and what you were thinking about at the time.

Few more key changes to mention

  • Increased speed of saving notes

  • Right click menu within note library

    • You can select notes as well → making you assign the correct note to a module, edit and delete the desired note

  • Renaming Modules - Can be done inside the module at the top of the page → it is saved as soon as you stop typing

  • Adding and removing notes from modules

    • This can be done in the Note library and within the specific Module
